"Going to therapy has to be the bravest thing anybody can do." - Kelly Minter

One of the topics we wanted to explore this season is the story of mental health professionals. Over the last decade, we have witnessed the rise in mental health problems broadly, but especially in young adults. It could be that we have always needed to focus on our mental health. It could also be true that our 21st Century world and its impact on the next generation is more profound than many of us have been willing to admit. That said, there has been a loud chorus of voices inside and outside of the Church raising the need for followers of Jesus to take the role of our mental health seriously. We're excited to highlight some of the individuals who's calling places them in the space of counseling, therapy and clinical mental healthcare.

Kelly Minter is a 20 year veteran in youth ministry, as well as a RMHCI with Elbow Tree Florida Counseling. She is a lifelong United Methodist and a bi-vocational ministry leader.
